What if we understood that magnitude of the Gospel?

So here I am, in the U.P.(The Upper Peninsula of Michigan, for all you southerners.). So I thought I would write a post. Right before I left for this trip, I finished writing a song(which I hope to record soon). This said song, is based on a poem I wrote(which I will be including the post later). All of this song writing, has really helped me grasp(some) the magnitude of the Gospel. What I was. What Jesus did. What He has made me. And what Jesus is doing.

So what was I? A sinner. The bible says "For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God."- Romans 3:23. That's me, and that's you. So that was my idenity. The bible also says "For the wages of sin is DEATH"- Romans 6:23a. So my Idenity is "sinner", and my payment, or reward for my sins; is death.(Death being eternal punishment in hell. Yes, hell is real, and real people are going there, forever.)  So beacause i'm a sinner, and deserve death; then what hope is there?

Here's hope. "But God shows his love for us that in while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8. Christ being Jesus. Jesus being fully God, and fully man. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."- John 1:1 Jesus was there in the beginning of time; knowing you, and loving you. Even when you were sinning, Jesus loved you, and still loves you! So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
(John 10:7-11 ESV)

I thank You for the hard times, when I didn't know where to turn.
When I thought I would burn, cause I walked to close to the flame.
But then I but the blame, on the One who scortched the flame.
Aren't I the one to blame? And from the blame comes shame.
From everything i've ever done, because I rejected Your name.
You were rejected among men, and mamed as you took my shame.
I'm the one to blame.
As my old name sinner died with You, my new name became Redeemed.

When you accept Jesus as your lord and savior, He is your idenity. He washed away every sin, when He died for you. He washed away every hurt. He makes you new.

What is Jesus saying to you? Have you made Him your Lord and savior? If not, don't wait! He wants you. He wants to be known by you.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact to me! Jesus changed my life. I want the same for you.

No Idea What To Name This. So Here Goes:

"I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exault in you: I will sing praise to your name, O most High."- Psalms 9:1-2.

Even the hard stuff is wonderful. Why? Cause I get to thank Jesus for them. He's given me everything. He gave up His life, so I can have life.
Let me ask you a question. When the hard times come, where do you find your hope? Do you find it in your family? In your friends? In your job? In sports? If most of us were honest with ourselves, one of these answers would be where we find our hope.

"The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know Your name put their trust in You, for You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who see You."- Psalms 9:9-10. In the hard times, Jesus wants us to seek Him. He won't let you down. Ever. In the good times, He wants us to seek Him. So when the hard times come, we can "recount all (His) wonderful deeds".

What If....Recording was easy.

Well, today I finished writing a song. Therefore I wanted to record it. As I was setting the click track, I thought "wow this takes alot of work..and i'm only recording 3 tacks...on my mac. (then other nerdy stuff no one else would understand Such as compression, ambient noise, filters, stupid click tracks ect...)". It made me think about knowing Jesus. It's hard, but He gives you a purpose, and HE is the example for your life(kinda like the click track(for you non-nerds think drums,But alot less exciting"). Just a few thoughts. Keep seeking Jesus!

that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

What if...Men were men?

What if men were men. Not boys in men's bodies, who have men's incomes, and are enabled to be boys. But men. In our society,Boy-hood is viewed as normal. Guys sleeping around, looking at porn, dating with no intention to get married. Is that what God wants? By no means! What if we changed that standard? What if guys were responsible for themselves as a whole? What if guys were living for Jesus at their schools, work-places, in their circle of friends. What if we set the standard for how men should act. It starts with YOU. Don't know where to start? Below are a few links you can look at and watch. Start praying for God to break us guys, and for a passion to honor Jesus well.
