What if we understood that magnitude of the Gospel?

So here I am, in the U.P.(The Upper Peninsula of Michigan, for all you southerners.). So I thought I would write a post. Right before I left for this trip, I finished writing a song(which I hope to record soon). This said song, is based on a poem I wrote(which I will be including the post later). All of this song writing, has really helped me grasp(some) the magnitude of the Gospel. What I was. What Jesus did. What He has made me. And what Jesus is doing.

So what was I? A sinner. The bible says "For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God."- Romans 3:23. That's me, and that's you. So that was my idenity. The bible also says "For the wages of sin is DEATH"- Romans 6:23a. So my Idenity is "sinner", and my payment, or reward for my sins; is death.(Death being eternal punishment in hell. Yes, hell is real, and real people are going there, forever.)  So beacause i'm a sinner, and deserve death; then what hope is there?

Here's hope. "But God shows his love for us that in while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8. Christ being Jesus. Jesus being fully God, and fully man. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."- John 1:1 Jesus was there in the beginning of time; knowing you, and loving you. Even when you were sinning, Jesus loved you, and still loves you! So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
(John 10:7-11 ESV)

I thank You for the hard times, when I didn't know where to turn.
When I thought I would burn, cause I walked to close to the flame.
But then I but the blame, on the One who scortched the flame.
Aren't I the one to blame? And from the blame comes shame.
From everything i've ever done, because I rejected Your name.
You were rejected among men, and mamed as you took my shame.
I'm the one to blame.
As my old name sinner died with You, my new name became Redeemed.

When you accept Jesus as your lord and savior, He is your idenity. He washed away every sin, when He died for you. He washed away every hurt. He makes you new.

What is Jesus saying to you? Have you made Him your Lord and savior? If not, don't wait! He wants you. He wants to be known by you.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact to me! Jesus changed my life. I want the same for you.
